Help Your Teen Build a Healthy Relationship with Technology

Smartphones and social media are shaping the next generation. As parents, it can feel overwhelming to decide when and how your teen should step into this world, and how to protect their mental health in the process.

That’s why we created this live, in-person parenting workshop: to give you the tools, language, and confidence you need to make decisions that fit your family and your teen.

What You’ll Walk Away With

  • A practical curriculum — our “Driver’s Ed for Social Media” guide your teen can work through can before they get social media. We don’t give teens the keys to a car without training and practice, so why should we give them the keys to social media without the same thing? This workbook gives your teen (and you!) a step-by-step learning experience to
  • A customizable phone contract — to set clear expectations and boundaries with your teen.
  • Live teaching + discussion time — hear from a mental health counselor and a communications expert with 15 years experience working behind the scenes of social media, then talk through what matters most with your partner or on your own.
  • Q&A with Jesse + Julie — bring your hardest questions about teens, tech, and mental health.
  • Community — connect with other parents navigating the same challenges.
  • Coffee + pastries from a local favorite (because caffeine and good food help us think better).
Who This Workshop Is For
  • Parents of preteens (ages 9–13) preparing for their first phone.

  • Parents of teens (ages 14–17) already on smartphones or social media, but in need of boundaries and support.

  • Moms, dads, guardians — anyone raising teens in today’s digital world.

Meet Your Guides

👤 Jesse Masson — Licensed counselor with years of experience supporting families and couples through mental health challenges, including trauma and abuse recovery.
