Emotional Health as Business Strategy

How Business Leaders Create a Thriving Culture

Friday, April 24, 2026  |  9:30 AM – 1:30 PM  |  The Bonhoeffer, Kansas City

The Silent Killer

Good people are leaving and you are not entirely sure why. Tension lingers after meetings. Conflict keeps resurfacing between the same people, no matter how many conversations you have. Someone on your team is disengaging, and you noticed it too late. You have tried team lunches, new policies, open-door promises. But something underneath all of it is not working.

Here is what no one in your professional circle is telling you: what you are dealing with is not a management problem. It is an emotional health problem. And most business leaders have never been given the language or the tools to address it.

How Emotional Health Drives the Business

A team where people actually talk about what is not working, and it does not blow up. Where conflict gets resolved at the level it starts, not escalated until it becomes a crisis. Where your employees feel genuinely safe, genuinely valued, and genuinely connected to the people they work alongside every day. Where you, as the leader, have the awareness and the tools to create that kind of environment on purpose.

That is not a fantasy. It is what becomes possible when emotional health is treated as a real part of how you lead.

A workshop built for leaders, led by a counselor.

Emotional Health as a Business Strategy is a half-day workshop designed to give business leaders something they have never been offered: a clear, practical understanding of emotional health and how to build a workplace where it can flourish.

This is not another leadership seminar full of motivational talking points. This is a workshop led by a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with people every day on the exact dynamics that are quietly shaping your team: self-awareness, emotional regulation, communication patterns, conflict, trust, and the insecurities that drive so much workplace dysfunction.

In one focused morning, you will learn:

  • What emotional health and emotional intelligence (EQ) actually are, and how they drive strategy
  • What happens when emotional health is missing from the workplace
  • How to address issues of communication, conflict, and care
  • How to build culture and community with your employees for business success

You will leave with a real framework you can bring back to your team. Not buzzwords. Not theory. A way of understanding your people that changes how you lead.

What’s Included

  • An interactive morning workshop alongside fellow business leaders
  • Morning pastries, coffee, and light lunch followed by social hour with drinks
  • A printed workshop guide with key frameworks, reflection questions, and resource list

Meet Your Presenter

Jesse Masson, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Connected Counseling. His work centers on helping people understand themselves, navigate their emotions, and build healthier relationships.

This workshop brings that same expertise into a new room. The patterns Jesse sees every day in his counseling practice, conflict avoidance, insecurity-driven leadership, communication breakdowns, emotional disconnection, are the same patterns silently running through your workplace. The difference is that most business leaders have never had someone name them clearly and show them what to do about it.

Jesse is not a business consultant. He provides something your business has probably never had access to: a trained professional who can help you see the human dynamics underneath your leadership challenges, and give you a real framework for building something healthier.
