Jesse Masson Christian Counselor

Jesse Masson, Founder/LPC

I’ve been providing counseling, including video sessions, since 2012, and I live in Kansas City with my wife and three children. I founded Connected Counseling  to offer both in-office and teletherapy sessions that better meet the needs of my clients. I earned my M.A. in Counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and hold professional licensure (LPC) in both Kansas (2014) and Missouri (2019).

My professional focus includes:

  • Trauma and Abuse Recovery
  • Marriage and Relationship Counseling
  • Parenting
  • Life Transitions

I know that seeking help for trauma or relationship struggles can feel overwhelming and vulnerable. Having sat in the client’s seat myself—both individually and in marriage counseling with my wife—I understand the courage it takes to start this journey. My approach is rooted in personal and professional experience, and I embrace the role of a “broken healer” who brings authenticity and compassion to the therapeutic process.

I don’t have all the answers, but I want to work with you to uncover the root causes of your pain and help you heal. Whether you’re navigating the effects of trauma or working to restore connection in your marriage, I am committed to walking with you toward hope and healing.

My Christian faith shapes my work, and I will always consider your comfort and concerns as we explore your path to emotional and relational health.

I’m here to help.

Becca Huff, LPC

I originally got into counseling because I was interested in counseling
missionaries overseas. I graduated with my M.A. from John Brown University in 2017 and have been counseling since 2019.

I started counseling teenagers in school, then began working at a therapeutic boarding school for at-risk teenage girls.

I counsel clients from adolescents to late adulthood. Familiar issues inclue ex-patriots and overseas adjustment, depression, anxiety, marriage, family and parenting, trauma, grief, and more.

Areas of focus:

  • Cultural transition issues
  • Family of origin
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma/Abuse

I do not take lightly the opportunity to be granted insight into other’s lives and pain. Although seeing and beholding pain upfront is difficult, I understand the importance of walking with others in their suffering,
having been there myself. I know what it feels like to be alone in pain, and I strive to meet with every client as a unique individual and with deep care.
